Eliminate Pain Points
For your business or nonprofit, it’s important to eliminate pain points that occur at the staff or task level. Pain points are the bottlenecks and frustrations you may have with your current workflow that create data quality issues or allow activities and outreach to fall through the cracks.
Most pain points can be resolved using automations whether it’s automated task creation, email distribution, and approval processes, or something as simple as automated field updates, and required or dependent fields.
Ask yourself:
- Who is struggling with inefficient processes? What are they?

Every CRM and donor database is different and some may allow for very complex automations while others may only allow you to schedule reports or manually create tasks. Imagine you want a staff member to know when a sale or donation is over $500. In Salesforce or HubSpot you can create an automation that will send an email to that staff member. In Little Green Light or Bloomerang, you would need to schedule a report to be sent to the staff member.
